Stress, Stress, Stress…Stress, Stress!
Have you ever felt stress? That sounds like a silly question, but I use to work with a young lady that never stressed over anything. How wonderful to be the kinds of person that all things can just roll right off your back. I unfortunately, am not that type of person. I don’t stress over little things but I have been known to stress from emotional perspective. Worrying over the kids or family issues can take a real toil if not careful. During these challenging times in the market place I know that I am not alone feeling the ugliness of stress. Since January I have been battling with what I thought was the common cold. Pumping me up with over the counter meds and Nyquil was my night cap. I hadn’t realized how sick I really was. I felt awful, like a train has ran over me, but I was trying to function. Until Tuesday morning I found myself unable to get out of bed. Well as you can imagine, writing for the blog was the last thing on my mind. So for my faithful followers I’m sorry I didn’t have any posting the last week. My beautiful children spent the entire week with their grandparents in hopes that I wouldn’t get them sick. My husband was so wonderful; he made sure I had everything within reaching distance before leaving for work each morning. My mother made me homemade soup just like my great-grandmother use to make me when I was a little girl. After realizing that the over the counter goodies weren’t working I went to see my doctor to get the low down on what was going on. Those of you that know me personally know how much I hate going to the doctor. Waited almost two hours for the doc, got a shot and two prescriptions later I had my diagnosis. As if the visit and how I felt wasn’t annoying enough, what I thought was the flu was really acute bronchitis. As you can imagine after being two weeks inbound I was starting to stress. Self imposed stressed which by the way usually leads to a relapse.
My little adventure with illness leads me to my next few postings. If you want to understand stress a little bit better hang out with me this week. I’ll have some quick and easy stress busters posted on Saturday!
Smiles!
